The Roads Up North

Some years ago I got a chance to travel up north.
While traveling to the outlying towns of Benguet you will see a breathtaking view.
You could see the whole mountainside, the steep cliff. It feels surreal.
It is like your traveling in a dream. But behind this there is also danger.
The roads are really narrow. It could almost fit only one bus. And the bends are
really sharp. One wrong turn from the driver or one blink that took too long and
you plunge off the cliff. And all bets are off. It is only fate thats going to determine
how deep you will plunge.

But compared to the vehicular accidents that happen everyday in Metro Manila,
travelling the cliffs up north seems safer.
